code snippet is a communication tool that connects GitHub and Twitter for code developers. The app leverages the GitHub Gists feature while helping you share code snippets with your Twitter followers.

Simplified and easy-to-setup code sharing solution

To start using the CodePiece application, you must navigate to the application’s Preferences window and authorize the tool to control your GitHub and Twitter accounts.

For convenience, if you have a Twitter account set up in System Preferences, CodePiece will prompt you for access credentials so you don’t need to go through the authorization process through your web browser.

Note that in the main CodePiece window, you can easily view your currently connected GitHub and Twitter accounts, and you can even choose to visualize your account’s main wall in a web browser.

Upload Gists to your GitHub account and tweet the link

In the main CodePiece window, you can easily enter code snippets to upload to the Gists collection and choose the programming language you’ve been using.

CodePiece supports popular choices such as Swift, C, C++, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, Objective-C, and more.

Also, CodePiece needs the content of the tweet and the hashtag you want to use for the current entry.

CodePiece will tweet the message, along with the Gists URL and code screenshots. Note that you can omit this code and use CodePiece for tweets only.

Instantly share code snippets with others

CodePiece is designed to make the code sharing process as easy as possible: you can upload your code to GitHub, while tweeting a link to the Gist.

So you don’t have to switch back and forth in your web browser, use multiple apps to get things done, or manually insert URLs or hashtags into your Twitter messages.
