Company of Heroes is an award-winning real-time strategy game developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ for the Microsoft Windows operating system and later for PlayStation 2. Company of Heroes is the prequel to the successful Company of Heroes PC game series. The game revolves around the plot of an alternate World War II Europe in which the Allies defeat the Nazi regime. In this alternate scenario, players take control of one of the most famous members of the US Army during World War II, Private First Class Joseph “JJ” LaRue.

On the other hand, Company of Heroes is set in the post-World War II era when the US has fallen under Nazi rule and the Allies must fight to regain control of Europe. The game can be downloaded from the official THQ website for free. The demo version of Company of Heroes can be obtained by downloading the game from the same site. However, for those without internet access, the official website offers an option whereby the player can play the game using the “fixed” version available in the September 2021 patch.

On the other hand, Company of Heroes can be played using either Microsoft Windows or the Steamworks version of the game. Both of these versions can be obtained through the official website. Company of Heroes features four unique heroes which include a Normandy Invasion veteran, a German dive specialist Stuka, a British Spitfire Advance and an Italian Focke-Wulf FW 190 pilot. The player also has the choice between two campaigns of their choice. Other multiplayer modes in Company of Heroes include defense, offensive, resupply and escort, with the last one being the combo campaign which is the most popular among the players.
