astronomical art is a comprehensive tool for image enhancement, photometry, astrometry, camera control and picture stakeout. The program can also help you manage CCD cameras, telescopes or filter wheels by controlling focus, auto-guidance and scripting. Additionally, it provides several image enhancement algorithms.

Watch the sky atlas to see where the stars are

AstroArt is a solid image enhancement and processing application with advanced features optimized for stargazing. The program includes a star atlas based on the GSC catalogue, dedicated to astrometric and photometric calculations.

In addition to its powerful photo manipulation capabilities, AstroArt is designed to store information about star positions and distances. Furthermore, the application allows you to restore image properties pixel by pixel with the help of convolution tools to remove blur or motion effects.

AstroArt has filters such as Unsharp Mask, DDP Threshold, Histogram Editor, Tricolor Adjustment or CCD Color Compositing. The program provides support for grayscale and color data.

Supported formats and camera controls

AstroArt also supports a variety of raster images, as well as RAW images created with DSLR cameras: .CRW, .CR2, .NEF, .ORF or .ARW. It allows you to zoom in/out, view color ranges, enable reticle or night visualization. In addition, it can automatically create a 3D chart of the image based on the lighting area.

The app also allows you to calibrate the CCD camera for data acquisition by connecting to a telescope or filter wheel. You can quickly configure automatic photo corrections, which the software will apply before loading the image into the workspace.

Reliable photo intensifier and astrometric tool

AstroArt is a comprehensive tool that allows you to control preprocessing parameters, as well as find coordinates, identify stars and create MPC reports. Astrometric and photometric functions are easily accessible from the Tools menu. Data transfer can be performed according to certain algorithms, such as linear, logarithmic, equalized or exponential. Images can be saved in 16-bit or 32-bit format.
