Set words and abbreviations

Before you start using the app, you have to decide which shortcuts are associated with which words. First, you must create a group. This group acts as a category and multiple ones can be created. Each group’s work has snippets, which are connections between abbreviations and full words.

aText comes with several default snippets that can be edited to suit your needs. Also, to create more of this content, look for the new snippet option. When creating a new snippet, the app will ask you for an abbreviation and plain text (for full words) or any other form you like. For example, if you set the shortcut to “www”, you can always quickly type a website address.

Covers a wide range of applications

aText can sync with multiple apps and platforms. You can insert text and even images in apps like Apple Pages, multiple mail platforms, Google Gmail, and more. Wait. Also, you can sync it via cloud services like iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.

Virtual machines (VMWare Fusion, Virtual Box, Parallels, etc.) are also within the capabilities of this tool, however, It only works in single window mode.

aText is a smart observer when writing text. The app is intuitive in a way, but it has a lot of combo menus and it might take some getting used to, but after you get through it, you won’t have any problems with its operation.
