Nowadays, we have to remember all our credentials for all the services we use and all the websites we visit, so a reliable password manager is essential. RoboForm is one of the big names in this field, and conveniently, it comes with extensions for all major browsers, including Microsoft Edge. In other words, using Roboform for Edgeyou can store your passwords, usernames, and other sensitive data in a secure vault that can be accessed directly from your browser’s toolbar.

The extension is easy to install and a new icon will appear in your toolbar, next to Edge’s address bar, giving you one-click access to your password vault. There is no need to install the universal RoboForm installer, as the extension runs in standalone mode.

As is usually the case with password managers, you will be asked to log into your account and enter the Master Password for your vault. This password will be required every time you start a new browser session (this is the default behavior), but you can also configure RoboForm for Edge to always require the password as an extra security precaution. If you do not already have a RoboForm Account, you must create a new one.

Once logged into your RoboForm account, you can view a list of all logins stored in your Personal Vault. Entries can be sorted by popularity, recently used, or alphabetically. Most frequently used credentials can be locked for quicker access. The add-on actually accesses your Personal Vault in RoboForm, and also accesses the Personal Vault containing the same entries if you access it via the desktop app or any other RoboForm browser extension.

With just a few clicks, Edge can use entries from your RoboForm Password Vault to fill forms on the websites you visit. Access the RoboForm Dashboard to view, edit, rename, or delete entries. Entries in your Personal Password Vault can be sent via Message or added to a Shared Folder you create.

In addition to credentials, RoboForm for Edge can also store bookmarks, personal notes, and identities (contacts). More than just a password manager, it can also keep other types of data securely in your personal vault.

It also comes with an integrated password generator that enables you to create strong passwords according to generally accepted standards.

RoboForm for Edge is a standalone extension for Edge with limited functionality, but it integrates seamlessly with the desktop application to help you quickly access your secure vault of passwords, notes, contacts, and more.
