After a quick installation, the add-on will open the Settings page to set everything up. I added groups for websites I use frequently so I can block them all at once with just one click. I just created a group and then went ahead and added the website URL. If you already have a list of the latter, you can paste it directly.

If you feel like you’re losing focus when you’re constantly opening various pages to view memes or read story updates, consider using the “Nuclear” option. You can configure this option from Settings to include all sites and content or include exceptions or partial blocking.

It’s worth noting that ultimately, there’s nothing an extension or any other tool can do to stop you from getting to the Settings page and unlocking everything. Although StayFocusd provides constraints and limits, you can still override them if you choose to do so.

Ultimately, it’s about developing good habits and making a conscious effort to prioritize your work over distractions, even when unblocking sites is an option. To help you understand how much time you spend on the web, you might consider using a dashboard, as it neatly displays the exact time you spend on each website.
