If a driver is already installed on your system, updating (over-installing) may resolve various issues, add new features, or simply upgrade to an available version. Note that it is not recommended to install the driver on operating systems other than those specified.

To update the driver manually, follow these steps (next steps):

1. Extract the .cab file to a folder of your choice
2. Go to Device Manager (right-click My Computer, select Manage, and find Device Manager in the left panel), or right-click the Windows 10 Start menu and select “Device Manager”
3. Right-click on the hardware device you want to update and select Update Driver Software
4. Select Manually select a location for new drivers and browse to the folder where you extracted the drivers
