As most text editing applications can search a text file for a word, Juicer can search all file formats for images of the types: JPEG, PNG, GIF, PDF, BMP and SWF.

PDF files contain images, which can be extracted as PDF and JPEG.

You can search individual files or folders of files at the same time. When Juicer finds images of a type it recognizes, it extracts and saves them to a new folder on the desktop.

This is useful for image recovery, or for reading images saved in file formats created by programs you don’t have. Apple’s iPhoto stores photo albums as aliases to the original photos in the library. Juicer can extract albums from damaged libraries.
