Bring multiple chat and instant messaging services under one roof

In the Franz main panel you can see a list of supported services: Slack, WhatsApp, Skype, Hangouts, Messenger, Telegram, HipChat and Grape.

To get started, choose the services you want to enable and do the initial configuration: provide the names of the teams you want to join, define a custom name for each service, and decide if you want to receive notifications.

It’s worth mentioning that you can add the same service multiple times and connect to different accounts: Franz will create a separate new tab for each enabled service.

Log in to your account and start using chat or instant messaging solutions

To start using the various services you have configured in Franz, you must first provide your credentials and log into your account. Once this is done, you will be able to use these accounts as you would in any web browser or dedicated desktop client.

If notifications are enabled, Franz will place a counter in the corresponding service tab whenever there is a new message. This way, you can easily see which accounts need your attention.

Use multiple communication solutions without cluttering your desktop

A desktop client is recommended for accessing various web services, especially if you don’t want to clutter your web browser. However, if you need to keep track of a large number of accounts across multiple platforms, it can be quite challenging.

Franz proposes another solution: you can use the same user interface to connect to multiple services and manage multiple accounts for each service. This will significantly reduce desktop clutter and help you stay more organized.
