Frogatto is a 2D platformer where you control a frog who must progress through a storyline to reach his goal without first being eaten or blown up. Frogatto features true retro-style pixel graphics, but has a surprisingly dynamic soundtrack and enjoyable gameplay. Think Donkey Kong, but with frogs, and you’ll be on the right track.

You can kill enemies with your tongue, swallowing them and even spitting them out on other enemies. As you fight end-level bosses, you gradually collect coins and can use them to purchase upgrades and new abilities. One of the funniest parts of the game is where you talk to different characters to uncover a plot against the townspeople that you will eventually have to foil. Frogatto has around 30 levels, and if that’s not enough, you can even create your own using the level editor.

Frogatto has everything to captivate fans of retro platformers beyond just a few levels.
