FS considerations It is a simple note manager based on the famous Notational Velocity. The annotator is developed using Apple’s Swift programming language and sandboxed to improve security.
With the FSNotes application, you can create and manage a large number of note databases without using the mouse.
Manage plain text and rich text annotations without the need for a mouse
More precisely, each FSNotes function has additional predefined keyboard shortcuts, and this fact makes it one of the fastest ways to manage a large number of notes with a Mac.
The user interface of FSNotes has vertical and horizontal layouts, both of which consist of an editing area, a search field at the top, and a note list panel to quickly browse notes.
Unfortunately, in our tests, we observed that when switching to the horizontal layout, FSNotes appears picky when allowing you to view the content of the note, and the editing area completely disappears. The only solution we found was to uninstall FSNotes and select the note database folder to restore our notes.
Use RTF or Markdown markup to create rich text annotations
If you don’t have time for this process, you can also check the notes by opening the notes with the help of an external text editor selected in the application options.
FSNotes also has a built-in text formatting function, and supports RTF and Markdown markup languages. This allows you to create plain text annotations and highly complex annotations that contain anything from bold text to hyperlinks and images.
If you need a detailed list of all the functions and keyboard shortcuts available for managing notes, you can find them on the homepage of FSNotes.
Quickly and easily use mouseless note manager on Mac
Although it has a lot of features in the early stages of development, it still needs some additions, such as a method to quickly sort the list of notes by timestamp, and a method to quickly switch between horizontal and vertical views.
Everything that FSNotes considers is a lightweight and user-friendly note manager designed to increase productivity by helping you create and edit plain or rich text notes without using a mouse.
