This open source program cleverly uses motion sensor and iSight to protect your MacBook. Once activated, it will sound an alarm as soon as your MacBook moves or touches the keyboard/trackpad. It can also automatically take a photo of the burglar using the iSight camera and automatically email it. iAlertU is very easy to use and can be activated simply by using the Apple Remote. You can access all of its settings directly from the menu bar and choose which type of alarm to activate. Obviously, you’ll have to choose carefully when to activate it, since you don’t want the alarm to go off every time someone gets close to your Mac.
