Jamie Provides peer-to-peer communication utilities centered on user privacy and security. Jami manages identities and end-to-end encryption based on X.509 certificates, allowing users to securely exchange text messages and conduct group video chats.

Share your unique ID to start a conversation

Before using Jami, you must create an account, which simply requires you to provide an eligible username and a secure password.

After logging in, Jami registers your account and displays its main window, which displays a unique ID generated by Jami. The ID can be shared with other users, and while this may be the quickest way to start a conversation, names can also be searched among available Jami users and easily added to a personal contact list.

Have a video calling session with multiple participants

Just double-tap to start a video call with a contact. Once a video calling session has started, any participant can add several others to the conversation, calibrate the video quality and record the call. Meanwhile, Jami can display text conversations alongside the video call screen.

Video, Audio and Security Settings

Users can customize various settings, starting from the audio and video devices to use as well as video resolution, audio and video codecs, port ranges, and more. Jami supports ICE fallback and SDP session negotiation.

CA certificates are automatically generated by Jami and accompanied by a private key, ensuring an extra layer of security for all communications that occur within Jami. Additionally, it is possible to create a list of forbidden contacts to be blocked.
