Just Focus is a break reminder based on the Pomodoro time management technique: you can focus better and be more efficient if you split your workload into 25 minutes sessions followed by short breaks.

Time management utility that allows you to customize the counters values

By default, Just Focus will function according to the Pomodoro technique basic rules: 25 minutes working sessions, 5 minutes for the short brakes, and 15 minutes for the long breaks (will get activated after four Pomodoros).

However, via the Just Focus Preferences window, you get to adjust these values to match your working habits: the Pomodoro timers can go from 5 to 120 minutes, while both break timers can go up to 20 minutes.

Split your working time into smaller sessions to improve the productivity level

Once you start a Pomodoro in the Just Focus app, you will be able to monitor the timer in the app’s status bar menulet. This way, you can see how much longer you need to focus on the task at hand.

You will also receive an alert via the Notification Center 1 minute before your break. Just Focus puts a timer on your desktop for each break while both your mouse and keyboard are locked (you do have the option to stop the break if you need to continue working).

Note that in break mode Just Focus can use your current wallpaper as a screen background, or you can choose to see the latest images published on Unsplash.com (the pictures update automatically).

Review your daily activity by analyzing the built-in timer logs

Just Focus is designed to automatically record whenever you completed a Pomodoro and displays the information in a separate panel, so you can easily see all your working sessions.

As a result, you can use Just Focus to determine the time of day when you are the most productive and even calculate how long you have truly worked in a day.
