It is important to use a dive computer because the device records the depth and time of the dive in order to calculate a safe ascent curve. This way, you can easily avoid the dangers of decompression sickness.

Streamlined user interface
The MacDive’s design is fairly intuitive, and you shouldn’t have any problems. The main window is divided into two areas: the left panel allows you to jump between the different categories of the library (All Dives, Recent Imports, Gear, Locations, Divers, Certifications, Countries, Dates, Computers, etc.), while the right side opens Their content can be visualized.
Additionally, the top toolbar provides quick access to essential functions and includes a small search bar. MacDive also provides an online wiki where you can find different tips and tricks on how to use the application more effectively.
Import dive log
To get started, you must connect your dive computer to your Mac and select the Download Dive function via the MacDive file menu or using the settings drop-down menu in the top application toolbar.
The process is not very complicated: you have to specify the dive computer model, the time zone you want to use, and the data you want to extract (all dives, only new dives, or any dives that haven’t been imported).
Once the information is transferred, you can easily browse it using MacDive tools and smart lists.
Easy-to-use dive log manager
If you are a professional or amateur diver and want to keep track of all your dives, MacDive is a great app. However, you should still keep in mind that only certain devices are supported and you must have the correct drivers installed to transfer data.
