Read and annotate books immediately
MarginNote handles PDF and ePub documents, and you can import them from a local drive or a Dropbox account. After being added to your library, you can open the book in reader mode, and you can select the content or area to highlight or annotate.
For each selection, MarginNote will open the edit menu, where you can select a color, and then choose the action to be performed: create notes, annotate, assign tags, search on Wikipedia, send to mind map panel, etc.
All notes are numbered, and you will be able to see the entries in hierarchical order on the right side of the main MarginNote window.
View book content with the help of annotations
MarginNote outline and mind map views are very useful when you want to browse the most important points of a book without having to browse all the contents. In addition, in the mind map panel, you can establish connections between various ideas.
Last but not least, MarginNote will automatically generate flashcards based on your highlighted content, which you can use when learning various concepts. It’s worth mentioning that you can only add your notes to the original text, and you cannot modify it in any way.

MarginNote allows you to connect to your Dropbox or Evernote account, which means you can access all your notes, mind maps and outlines even if you are on the go. Since MarginNote comes with iPad and iPhone companion apps, you can use the cloud to synchronize data between devices.
