Manually resizing and rearranging windows can be tedious and time-consuming. maximum catch is a small macOS application that enables you to rely on predefined window layouts that you can activate via hotkeys and swipe gestures or via the status bar menu.

The MaxSnap app lives in the status bar and comes with a set of predefined layouts that you can easily apply to your windows. Just make sure to select the corresponding panel and select the appropriate configuration from the MaxSnap menu.

MaxSnap can enable the macOS split view feature or send windows to the left, right, top, or bottom side of the screen. You can move them to the top or bottom left or right side of the desktop, or place them in the center of the desktop.

MaxSnap will automatically resize the window to half or quarter during this process, but keep in mind that there are also layouts that will change the window size to one-third of the available space. Additionally, you can manually increase or decrease the window size.

By default, MaxSnap comes with a keyboard combination that can be used to activate any predefined window layout. However, through the preferences you can change the hotkeys or disable them entirely.

At the same time, you can choose to enable swipe gestures, but note that you may also need to associate modifier keys to avoid any conflicts with the out-of-the-box system configuration.

MaxSnap supports moving and resizing windows without using a title bar: just configure hotkeys to send panels to different areas of the screen if the window is under the cursor.
