Metadatics is a powerful and user-oriented audio metadata editor that provides the tools and functions needed to update or change song metadata and illustrations.
Metadatics comes with an intuitive interface, you can easily load, preview and edit multiple songs at the same time. Most importantly, Metadatics supports multiple types of audio files, such as MP3, M4A, AIFF, WAV, FLAC, APE, OGG, WMA, etc.
In the main window of Metadatics, you can edit the metadata of one or more audio files with just a few keystrokes and mouse clicks. The “General” tab helps you view detailed information about the selected song, such as track name and artist, album artist, year, composer, album, grouping, comment, genre, cover art, and BPM value.
You can even access the lyrics tab and view, add or edit existing lyrics and check file information. Therefore, you can view the file format, length, size, bit rate, sample rate, channel, label format, and location of the selected song.
The context menu helps you add or delete files from the list, display selected files in the Finder, copy or replace existing tags, and find metadata information and album artwork on different online resources. Most importantly, you can access the “Function” submenu and set the numbering sequence, delete empty tags, rename files, batch extract album artwork and get tags from file names.
By accessing the album artwork menu, you can add or delete artwork, extract, convert or resize selected artwork, and copy or paste artwork. In addition, you can view different online sources of album artwork and song metadata. You can search for artwork on Google, Amazon, or Discogs, and search for song metadata in the MusicBrainz database. When you are satisfied with the changes, you can save the new metadata and update the library’s artwork and track information.
