NovaPDF is a powerful portable document (PDF) creation tool for Microsoft Windows developed by Softland. It can create PDF documents from almost any application that supports the Win32 API. The name “NovaPDF” was based on a trademark used by Adobe Systems Incorporated. Although Adobe developed this technology to create a portable cross-platform application, the name “NovaPDF” is trademarked by Softland.

This application can be used in conjunction with Adobe Acrobat Reader, which comes free with Windows as an “application” or “service-oriented” program. The benefit of using Adobe Acrobat Reader is that it can read, edit and search PDFs created with this application while running in the background without the need for direct user interaction. It is observed that most people use this method to avoid manual steps involved in creating, reading or printing PDF files. Another advantage of using NovaPDF with Windows programs is that they can be run simultaneously without any compatibility issues, as well as pressing the “alt” keys at the same time.

Although the program works on all operating systems such as Windows 7, Vista, XP, etc., its biggest advantage is that it can run on 64-bit operating system. This is because Windows and Linux systems allow you to download large files on a Windows system without any problem, while on Linux systems the behavior is different with some PDF files not opening at all and others showing a page not found error. message. This weakness is believed to be caused by a change in file extensions in the Softland interface to make it more compatible with different file extensions. Another reason for the performance difference between the two systems has to do with the way Windows handles the registry and the fact that some registry settings only exist on the Windows platform. In other words, NovaPDF on Windows cannot work with some programs such as Comodo PDF Viewer, Sun StarOffice suite and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
