Online land registries have become a progressive development in India, with Odisha leading the way in introducing an online land registration system that enables citizens to review their land holdings in the state. The Bhulekh portal was recently launched to facilitate the citizens of Odisha to check their land holdings across the state online.

Khasras traditionally describe “all the fields and their areas, measurements, ownership details, cultivators employed, crops grown, soil types and trees present on the land.” Khatauni serves as an accounting book.

To use ‘Bhulekh Odisha’ app:

1. Select the district
2. Select tehsil
3. Select village
4. Select RI Circle
5. Select Khatiyan/Plot or Tenant
6. Click on either the “ROR front page” or “ROR back page” option to view your country records
7. Save the details for future reference
