Ommwriter is a text processor that focuses on keeping the outside world at bay while you are working on your writing projects. The app works only in full screen mode, and comes with relaxing sound and graphic backgrounds, while offering basic text editing capabilities.

Unsophisticated text processor that will help you focus on the task at hand

Upon launch, Ommwriter covers your entire screen, but the actual working space is reserved for the center of the screen. Note that you can adjust this area with simple drag and drop actions.

While you are typing, your Mac’s screen will display only the background image and your text: to view the tools bar simply move your mouse.

Personalize the working space and improve your productivity

Ommwriter comes packed with various customization options designed to help you create an appropriate working space: you can change the font style and size, change the background image, the background or the typing sound (you can also silence both audio effects).

For your convenience, Ommwriter also includes a word counter that will work in real time and becomes visible when you move the mouse. Your projects can be saved as TXT, RTF, or PDF documents, and you can also open in Ommwriter text documents created by other apps.

Stylish word processor that can help you work in a relaxed environment

As a text processing utility, Ommwriter provides very basic capabilities: the app is limited to 3 font styles and 3 font sizes, and you cannot perform simple formatting actions, such as making the text bold or italic.

Noteworthy is the fact that these limitations, combined with the built in background images and sounds, and with the fact that Ommwriter works only in fullscreen mode, manage to create a clean environment where you can start writing without having to deal with technicalities.
