If you are a fan of macOS and not Mac, or at least Apple is priced for it, then you may have considered building Hackintosh at some point. Although it is completely feasible to install macOS on an ordinary PC, it is far from simple and requires specific hardware to make everything work properly.

OpenCore Will not make the process easier than the current most popular boot program Clover. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Since the project is still a relatively new project, all operations must be completed manually, and the community’s support for new immigrants is not so extensive.
So, why choose OpenCore instead of Clover? There are several reasons. First, it should be more secure because it does not need to disable system integrity protection, and it supports Filevault encryption. Second, it has a clean code base, starts faster, and requires fewer patches between macOS updates. Kext injection has also been improved, and you can expect better support for errors in the future. Finally, it does not rely on outdated code, which makes the Clover patch unlikely to be used with future major macOS versions.
If you are sure you want to get started, you can continue to download one of the OpenCore versions. Most people want to use the “release” version, and the “debug” version is suitable for debugging startup problems, but it will increase startup time.
As far as the actual installation process is concerned, it is too complicated to explain here, so please continue reading the developer’s documentation or more accessible third-party resources, such as “Dortania’s OpenCore Installation Guide”. It’s not easy, and you need to learn a lot, but if all goes well, you should end up with a stable, long-lasting macOS installation.
