InDesign documents often need to be processed with a similar set of parameters, and it doesn’t make sense to configure these parameters every time one of the files is output.

Output Factory Server is an automation tool designed specifically for workgroups. It is available to any number of users on the network and automatically processes files as they are added to monitored hot folders. It also comes with LinkOptimizer Server, which provides additional processing power in optimizing content.

You can create workflows for various types of jobs, and each workflow is assigned to a common folder to which users can transfer files. Once one or more documents are detected, they will be processed according to the preferences set for that specific workflow.

In addition, Output Factory Server includes a full version of LinkOptimizer Server. This utility allows you to reduce link size, optimize image resolution, convert colors and formats, and more.

You can configure a variety of output settings to ensure your exported documents are ready. These include setting variable file names based on various file properties, layer versioning, error checking, dynamic output locations, and the ability to create and run custom scripts to further extend automation.
