flat is an app with a simple name but hides some tricks. It’s an uptime monitor especially for webmasters, developers, or consultants, but it’s equally useful for anyone who needs to track the status of a website, API, or endpoint.

Easily track multiple sites

Start by adding any URLs you wish to monitor. Provide a link, type a name, and choose your preferred method of checking its status. You can also set timeout thresholds and allow insecure SSL.

Multiple sites can be added (up to three in the free version) and they will be checked automatically at whatever interval you set in the app settings. Alternatively, you can remove any of them from the automatic checks and just ping them manually. They can be marked up, slow or down.

Menu Bar Information and Notifications

You can close the main application window and get all the data you need directly from the menu bar. Clicking this icon will list all your sites, their current status, and their response times. If they are slow or slower, they will be marked as such.

Notifications can also be sent whenever a website becomes unresponsive. You can customize these from macOS just like any other application. The icons and details displayed in the menu can also be personalized.
