Religious music is an integral part of Hinduism, and as such, ragas and psalms are an important part of classical India. Usually religious chants talk about gods like Vishnu, Shiva or Parvati and all their incarnations.

Psalms and Lagasse is a simple desktop application that provides quick access to a collection of Indian psalm tunes that you can hear rendered by different instruments.

The Psalms and Ragas interface is very well organized: just start by selecting the tune you want to listen to from the drop-down menu located in the upper left corner of the main window. You can choose to listen to the chorus of Raga, Psalm or Canticle or one of the songs written at the St. Benedict Monastery.

From the center of the Psalms and Ragas window, you can select the instrument you want to play, and specify how many times the song should be repeated (maximum 20).

Also, you can adjust the volume and speed of the song from the upper left corner of the main window. Psalms and Ragas also offer you the possibility to read Raga descriptions one by one.

The bottom area of ​​the main window is reserved for the piano keyboard. This way you can easily follow the notes of the song. Additionally, from the preferences window, you can choose the instrument that will be used when you select the “All” entry in the song menu.

All in all, Psalms and Ragas is a simple and straight forward app with tons of Indian religious songs to help you learn more about Hindu culture.
