Random BackGround is a lightweight Windows application designed to help you change your wallpaper at preset times using images stored on your computer.

The word that best describes the user interface is simple. You can quickly access the files and folders stored on your computer, so you can easily select the desired directory, including the image to set as your wallpaper.

The tool supports the following file formats: BMP, DIB, JPG and GIF.

Random background allows you to include subcategories, automatically change pictures at preset times (e.g. 10 or 30 seconds, 3, 5, 10 or 30 minutes, 1 to 12 hours), choose image position (fill, fit), stretch, Tile, Center), and select the maximum zoom value.

Other notable features worth mentioning allow you to change the background color, run the utility when Windows starts, make file associations, and pause the process by clicking on the program icon in the system tray and selecting the appropriate option.

The disadvantage is that you cannot build a list of images that are automatically set as wallpaper, specify their order, change the wallpaper at user-defined times, and preview the image.
