remember is a small native app that gives you an easy way to capture audio and even system sound from a connected microphone. It’s directly accessible from the menu bar, where you can start recording at any time with one click. Audio can be compressed or lossless, and you can access the file as soon as the capture is complete.

You can also set custom global hotkeys for start/stop and pause/resume recording, allowing you to quickly capture content without touching your mouse or touchpad.

From the menu bar, you can monitor the current recording, check previous files, or select your preferred input device. While the app cannot capture system audio by default, due to App Store limitations, you can install a third-party audio driver and select it as an input device from the Recordia menu.

You can also choose a default output directory and specify whether the application should open files in the Finder as soon as recording stops. The file can also be automatically copied to the clipboard, which can help you save seconds if you need to quickly send it to someone or use it in another workflow.
