rust Is an evolving programming language designed to provide users with a reliable way to create client/server software that runs on the Internet.

The language operates using braces and block expressions, has a self-hosted compiler, rustc.exe, which uses a low-level virtual machine, or LLVM, as a backend.

Running the shell will display most of its features and options, with a brief description of what they do so the programmer can understand and figure out how to use them.

Some of the available options include the ability to compile and assemble without linking the project, add directories to library searches, output the crate ID and then exit, export the generated project to a user-defined filename, or set lint warnings, among countless others.

While it may be visually similar to the C family of languages, Rust uses a distinct syntax and semantics designed to support metaprogramming and generic programming.

Since the main focus of this language is safety, Rust features include the fact that it provides memory safety, it eliminates dangling pointers and buffer overflows, it works with static linear systems. In terms of concurrency, this language uses message-passing tasks, so memory is not shared.

Furthermore, Rust resorts to higher-order functions, and pattern matching via enums, while also relying on type parameter functions, type classes – allowing polymorphism and object-oriented style interfaces.

Rust requires a solid programming background, as it’s not the easiest language to use, but it provides users with extensive documentation, which means that motivated people at least won’t have a hard time learning the basics of using it.
