The classic typewriter sounds can help you reproduce the feeling of actually using a mechanical typewriter in order to focus on the task at hand. Typewriter keyboard Is a minimal status bar menu application that allows you to instantly assign various sound effects to your buttons.

Minimal interaction

Even though the sound effects generated by the typewriter keyboard app will be triggered system-wide, the app will always stay away from you while maintaining easy access.

At startup, the typewriter keyboard will place a small icon in your status bar, so if you want to customize its behavior, just access the “Preferences” window through this menu.

Large sound collection

In addition to the Typewriter Keyboard application, the Typewriter Keyboard package also contains a set of sounds that can be associated with your keys. First, the compilation contains the original typewriter sounds (normal keys, enter key, and space bar).

In addition, the set also includes Arthur (33 pieces), Pascal (19 pieces) and Robert (6 pieces) sound sets. You will be able to assign any included audio effects to your keys.

Use your own audio file

Through the typewriter keyboard preferences window, you can adjust the sound effect volume or completely mute it. At the same time, you can assign your audio file to any key: select the audio file, and then press the key that should trigger the effect.

You cannot see the assigned keys when you press it, so you must be careful which keys you use. If you make a mistake, you will have to start again. However, if you are not satisfied with the result, you can easily return to the original effect by clicking the mouse.
