Android and Mac don’t play well together, which can be annoying if you have a Mac but don’t like an iPhone. Transferring files is one of the hardest things to do, especially if you don’t want to use a cloud storage service in the process.

Ubisoft is an Electron-based app designed to provide a more iPhone user-like experience. With one app installed on both your Mac and your Android phone, you can send files one way or another on the same network in just a few simple steps.

To send files from Android to Mac, all you have to do is use the share feature on your phone and select your Mac from the list of available devices. By default, files are sent to the desktop, but you can customize the location. Of course, make sure you have the app installed on your mobile device.

As for going from Mac to Android, you need to launch the Ubidrop app on your phone, access the Mac app from the menu bar, select Send to Nearby, and find your smartphone from the list of nearby devices. To transfer, both devices need to be connected to the same network.
