There is rarely an app that is so well thought out and functional that you can integrate it into your workflow instantly with little to no adjustment period.well i’m happy to say that tidy is one of them.

In a nutshell, this app creates a sort of drawer that can be accessed from the top of the screen. Here you can place important files, write and store notes, and manage and save clipboard entries. It’s so intuitive that it takes users little time to get used to its inner workings.

Drag files to the drop zone and store them for later

The app’s standout feature allows you to store frequently used files or files needed for multiple operations in an accessible space with a simple drag and drop. From here, you can drag them anywhere else, or even open them directly.

By default, these files are stored in a safe location on your Mac. You can move them to another folder to enable Spotlight indexing, and even sync them between devices using a cloud storage directory, such as your Dropbox folder.

Write notes quickly and access them easily

Opening TextEdit or any other text editor just to write down a quick memo is far from an ideal solution, and then you also have to waste time saving it to a file. With Unclutter, you just drop the panel, write or paste what you need, and get on with your work.

Text editors are pretty simple, but no one is going to use an app like this to write a novel anyway. It’s essentially a drop-down sticky note with a useful search feature to find anything you need.

Smart Clipboard Management

The app remembers any text that has been copied to the clipboard, allowing you to retrieve anything you may have come across before. Particularly useful clippings can even be bookmarked so you can edit them before duplicating them again.

If an application contains potentially sensitive text that you might not want stored anywhere, Unclutter can hide this data and avoid saving it on disk. If you then remove this restriction, clips previously saved from the app will be visible again.

A very impressive app and definitely worth the money

Unclutter doesn’t appear to be bringing any new or compelling features, but what makes it special is how well everything comes together. You can really start taking advantage of it in seconds, and it will dramatically increase your productivity.
