W10Privacy – what for?!
The very questionable default privacy and data protection settings in Windows 10 led me to the idea of developing this little program. Microsoft generously allows everyone to change worrying settings, but hides them in countless menus, where an ordinary user will not see!
Therefore, the program should be useful, to show the available settings relatively clearly and to set desired options if necessary.
The main focus is on the settings of Windows 10 and its applications (for example, the new “Edge” browser). The program will be gradually expanded, if possible and available, with corresponding Windows 8.1 features in the future.
W10Privacy is certainly not a programming masterpiece, but it serves my intended purpose. The software is still in an early development phase: suggestions and requests are gladly received and considered, if necessary, in further development!
