Fast and convenient

FVD will automatically paste any links you copy and download files in seconds. You can also select custom quality for your videos up to 720HD. If the file does not have an HD version, you will get the best condition possible.

Clean interface

The user interface is simple and organized. Each tab has its own utilities, so you will always find what you need. If you are using the free version, you have nothing to do but download videos.

Another issue with the free version is that only half of the user interface is clickable. While you can upload files, you don’t have the ability to convert them.

Several format options

FVD supports popular formats including AVI and MP3. You can convert downloaded videos to any of these formats if you have premium. The app can also be optimized for mobile playback. However, MP4 is an ideal format for smartphones that is not listed in the interface.

Scheduled Downloads

You can set the time when your videos will start downloading automatically. This feature is useful when your Wi-Fi connection is low. It basically serves as a link saving feature.

Make sure your computer is on when the file is scheduled to be downloaded. Sometimes when your device or Wi-Fi is off during download, the app skips them altogether. The frequency of this error depends on the users.

Limited opportunities

Even with the premium version, there isn’t much you can do with this app. It claims to be able to download videos from any website, but only if the file is supported by YouTube. And when you don’t get it from YouTube, the process is much longer.

Many other applications, including Internet Download Manager, are more versatile than FVD. For the same cost, you have more freedom in what you can do with your files. Also, if you are downloading YouTube clips for music, it is better to use the YT downloader app.
