If you use the Internet for any purpose, then you have probably already heard of FileZilla. FileZilla is a hugely popular FTP client that you can install directly onto portable media like a USB flash drive and carry it around with you. This free app is extremely portable and stores your data like bookmarks and internet settings and even your passwords so it can always be recovered even if the computer you are using changes its configuration. FileZilla allows multiple users to share the same file across multiple computers, creating a secure and synchronized network. FileZilla is the perfect choice for creating, sharing and saving files.

The features that set FileZilla apart from other free FTP clients on the market are its multi-user capabilities as well as its powerful security and file transfer application. This allows you to quickly and easily synchronize your files between different PCs by managing a central file directory. You can create new groups, rename or delete files, and search for specific files or folders. FileZilla also offers additional security options, including identity management, password protection for stored files, and an expiration date that keep data safe even if it’s accidentally deleted from your computer’s storage.

While FileZilla does not come with a Windows 10 software package, you do have the option to download and install FileZilla on your Windows desktop. The instructions for installing the portable FileZilla app are similar to those for any other FTP client, however the most important part of the installation process is clicking on the “choose tool” icon to begin the installation process. After installation, you will be prompted for a username and password. After you have successfully logged into your account, you should see a file folder icon on your desktop or main menu. Double click the folder and you will see the FileZilla interface which is very functional.
