Firealpaca is a free image editing application developed by PGN Inc. With layer support and a wide selection of creative brushes, Firealpaca is a great free alternative to paid painting programs like Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai.

Interface

Firealpaca’s interface consists mostly of canvas. Around this canvas, users can arrange window panels around the canvas according to their preferences. All the basic tools that users will need to draw are easily accessible when all window panes are open.

Brush settings

Firealpaca offers more brushes than the standard image editing tools. Firealpaca brushes come in a variety of shapes such as arrows, stars, flowers, leaves, and more. Pixelated pencils and airbrushes are also available for more precision. The brushes can also be customized further. Users can set brush opacity, minimum width, diffuse strength, angle, and more. Thanks to this, users will have more creative options for their work.

Painting features

Because Firealpaca is geared more towards digital artists than editors, layer support and tablet pressure sensitivity are essential features. Fortunately, the program has both. The Firealpaca works with most modern graphics tablets such as Wacom with fairly good pressure sensitivity. Its layers panel is a bit primitive, but it has important features like blending options, clipping masks, and layer locking.
