FxSound by itself does nothing but add an external sound card to your computer, and it does it very well. However, FXSound does much more; it was created to offer cutting edge technology to all computer users, no matter what operating system they use. You should always take the time to test any software or program before deciding to buy it. It should be noted that FxSound will not work with any programs or applications based on Windows Vista or earlier. FxSound will also not work with any other type of Vista based sound card. You must have a specific version of Windows to use FxSound with this application.

One of the best features of FxSound that I’ve come across is its usefulness in supporting taskbar notifications. Many programs, such as Skype for example, will notify you of upcoming chat sessions or even video conferences, and this feature has also been replicated in FxSound. This means that if you have internet at home but don’t want to be online all the time, you can still use FxSound and be aware of what’s going on at home or at work. There are no additional occasions when you would like to use Internet programs that constantly send you emails or notifications in the middle of a work or school day.

Another great FxSound feature that comes as standard is the ability to automatically select playback devices. This means that if you connect a new device to any of your FxSound supported output devices, it will automatically play the track associated with it. If you ever need to switch different devices or connect something that is not supported, this feature will be extremely useful to you. All you have to do is click on “FXptions” on the main menu tab and you’ll have access to all sorts of useful playback devices.
