IMVU is a social app where users can create 3D avatars and interact with other users in virtual locations. In this app, users can personalize their avatar by purchasing clothes and accessories with the app’s internal currency, known as “credits”.

System requirements

IMVU is available for both desktop and mobile devices. The desktop version can be run on any modern computer. However, to make the most of IMVU, it is recommended to have at least Windows 7 OS, 512 MB of RAM, and 2 GB of free disk space. Fortunately, IMVU does not require a powerful processor and video card.

How to use

IMVU is a very complex graphical chat. Instead of just communicating with others via texts, all 3D avatars exist in a 3D environment where whatever the user types is displayed as a speech bubble above their heads. There is a wide range of environments and themes to choose from, such as horror houses, gardens, and even tropical beaches.

Graphics and speed

The concept of the application is very interesting, but frequent lags and slowdowns interfere with it. Assets may also take some time to load. However, the app has amazing graphics. The clothes and furniture are well thought out and the 3D environment looks very real and realistic.

Good concept, poor execution
