Quinn & Simon are synonymous in many circles of friends across Europe, as the company’s main product is water. In the early 1990s, the company was taken over by Macquhidches, who changed their name to Quinn & Simon. It was founded in Denmark in 1977 and began trading in Europe the following year. However, Mac was not satisfied with the results of their European division, so he sold the business to Macquhidches in July.

The Quinn brothers quickly re-established the firm and continued to trade in Europe until the end of 1995, when they sold it again to the Simon Hotel. Most of the European division was moved to the UK and HRTEL became known as the Quinn & Simon Water Company. However, most of this business was transferred back to Europe and remained based in London. However, most of this water was soon sold to new owners such as Macquhidches.

QIH will be renamed and the new owner will be Simon Hrtel. He immediately brought new faces to the QIH board, including former Macquhidches employees, and led a new marketing team. HRTEL brought in new management staff, changed the look of the QIH logo, and focused on rapid growth, but unfortunately it was only later that success was achieved. QIH is now thriving in China and Singapore and doing very well. As a result, QIH now has a strong presence in other Latin American countries, Russia and elsewhere in the world.
