Street Fighter 2 is a hugely popular competitive online fighting game developed and published by CAPcom in 1990 for various home computer operating systems and later ported to several different gaming platforms over the years. It was one of the first games to use a “light engine” that allowed the player to use special moves and special attacks by pressing a button on the keyboard rather than relying on a joystick or other means of continuous movement control. Street Fighter 2’s popularity is due to its unique ability to use special attacks not found in any previous version of the game, as well as its addictive, fast-paced action and vibrant, eye-popping art. The story told in Street Fighter 2 is based on the fact that a young man from the streets of New York (SF2) was turned into a powerful, almost invincible force by his master, whom he will have to defeat again. The player must help him master new moves, master special attacks, learn how to perform special moves, and master various strategies to complete the game and win. The whole game is quite complex yet beautifully drawn with great artwork.

Street Fighter 2 features many different types of controls, including the classic joysticks and movement wheels used in earlier arcade and PC fighting games. However, Street Fighter 2 instead requires the player to use more complex controls that help create a more realistic experience (especially useful if the player is unfamiliar with the many moves required during fights). Each character in Street Fighter 2 can be controlled using four different buttons, which can be changed depending on the player’s preference. The two remaining buttons are used to activate special attacks, perform quick attacks, and perform special attacks. There are many additional buttons that, combined with the buttons used to activate special attacks, can create a very complex and realistic control scheme.

Street Fighter II also contains many of the popular traditional elements found in many modern fighting games. All the classic aspects of Street Fighter II are present, such as SF2 special moves, special attacks, the lock button, etc. The music is also top notch, with great sound effects and great beats.
