Borussia Dortmund supporters have been asked to stay away from their stadium as the Bundesliga resumes on Saturday.
The Dortmund police chairman urged German football fans to show that it was not a "mistake" to allow the Bundesliga to resume this weekend after a two-month suspension due to the coronavirus.
Concerns have been raised over whether fans will meet at Borussia Dortmund's Westfalenstadion on Saturday as they face Schalke behind closed doors in a local derby as the first two levels of German football resume.

"I want to tell football fans: the police are ready," Dortmund police chief Gregor Lange said on Wednesday.
"And fans have the opportunity to demonstrate that the decision to restart was not a mistake."
The director of the Dortmund organization, Dr. Christian Hockenjos, is also confident that the problems will be avoided.
"My colleagues in charge of supporters have told me that organized fan groups do not want to come to the stadium," he said.

The reboot will continue despite several players from the two main German divisions having been positive for the coronavirus since the resumption of training last month.
Three FC Colonia members tested positive two weeks ago, while second-tier club Dynamo Dresden quarantined their entire team after two positive tests.
Dortmund will use additional measures, including the way ball players operate, inside the stadium to avoid any risk of virus transmission.
"We have 30 balls in the stadiums at different locations," added Hockenjos. "Players are responsible for obtaining a new ball from one of the points."
