Frank Lampard says Chelsea must terminate low players' contracts before possible Premier League resumption
Frank Lampard says Chelsea are looking to extend Willian and Olivier Giroud's contracts if the season starts again.
The pair are the two most notable players whose contracts will expire on June 30.
Chelsea's last game was a 4-0 victory over Everton on March 8, a game where Giroud and Willian scored.
Blues head coach said Sky Sports News wants the same team until the end of the season if restarted successfully.
"We still don't know if and when the match will start. We have great players (no contract), so this is obviously something that I watch very carefully," he said. Sky Sports expert Jamie Redknapp.
"Those who don't have a contract here have been great servers for the club and actually have a lot of feelings for the club."
"Of course, they will be concerned about themselves, as far as the current lineup is concerned and if preseason is rushed, they will need to make sure they are doing well."

Premier League clubs will vote on Monday whether to resume a first phase of training, which would see players maintaining patterns of social distancing in small groups, according to government restrictions on coronavirus control.

Lampard defended the Premier League players against any reservations they might have regarding a possible return to training and demanded better communication.
