Premier League players and managers have been informed that everything is being done to make sure they are not at risk when they return to training next week.

On Wednesday, at two separate videoconference meetings, players and managers received tests and medical protocols for the gradual return of training.

They were led through the stages by Premier League doctor Mark Gillett and medical expert Professor James Calder, CEO Richard Masters and football director Richard Garlick.

Players will be screened at least twice a week, even within 48 hours of the training date, and will have mini-doctors to check for underlying heart and respiratory problems before resuming training.

Managers have been advised that all team and coach meetings will continue by videoconference and that all data and video recordings of the training sessions will be made available to the Premier League.

Some players have expressed concern about their family's health and some are reluctant to return because they have pregnant partners or parents with medical conditions who live with them.

All players received a 40-page training protocol document, and each captain was represented at the meeting by videoconference by their capta in.

Some representatives of the PFA club were also present at the meeting. The club captains who attended the meeting are Jordan Henderson, Harry Maguire, Cesar Azpilicueta, Mark Noble and Troy Deeney.

Players will go to practice in their kit, alone in their car. Your temperature will be checked at the entrance to the training ground. They will park in a designated space, three spaces from any other person.

There will be no food on the training ground. They will train in groups of five for a maximum of 75 minutes. They will be encouraged to wear a mask or hair net. Boarding and spitting are not allowed. Everything will be disinfected, including the ball, the field, the posts, the cones and other training equipment.

Players must maintain social distance at all times. If the players are injured, they will be treated by a physiotherapist wearing PPE, which must at least include a mask, gloves and an apron.

After training, the players will go straight home.

Players will also be screened at least twice a week and will have a mini doctor to check for any underlying heart or breathing problems. All players will be assessed within 48 hours before training.

Foreign players returning to England will not be able to enter the training camp for 14 days.
