Chelsea and England striker Fran Kirby admits that his recovery from a rare heart disease was long and difficult.
England and Chelsea striker Fran Kirby say that she is in a "better place" and that she desperately wants to train after a debilitating illness which has caused her to left "at my most vulnerable point".
Kirby fell ill with pericarditis after Chelsea played Manchester United on November 17 and has not played since he was diagnosed with the condition – an inflammation of the fluid-filled sac around the heart.
Earlier this month, the 26-year-old woman revealed that she was about to retire in a long recovery process, leaving her couch tied for two months.
"Physically, there was nothing I could do," he said. The football show in Sky Sports News. "I was not allowed to walk, nothing that could stress my heart or stress me. I was so tired that I couldn't really move. I was fed up."
"I came back several times to try to train, but I had another setback, then another setback. But each time, I was able to train longer without symptoms. Then I felt symptoms for a week or two. "
Interrupting the start was "mentally difficult" for Kirby, who has now spent six weeks without any symptoms.
The bronze medalist with the England team at the 2015 World Cup says she feels she is "coming out of hibernation" after returning to home training.

"People have seen me at my most vulnerable point," he added. "I really couldn't have a lot of conversations with people because I felt very tired. I started a conversation, then I turned it off and it didn't end.
"I had people around me who could see that I was so poor and always try to help me, even if I had been rude at times. To be honest, I was alone in the fog.
"People text me every day. Little things like that mean a lot, even if it took me two or three days to answer because it just wasn't on my on the phone, I was exhausted and didn't even want to look at it. My phone. Now I can have these conversations and thank these people. "

"No football has been good for me"
Long periods of solitary confinement have made her more comfortable with current closures than most, says Kirby, who says she "couldn't get out "during his illness.
The Women's Super League, as well as the Men's Premier League and the EFL, were suspended in early April in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
"Without football, it's probably good for me because, selfishly, I still wouldn't be ready to play," said Kirby.
"Now I'm more or less on the same level as everyone else."

The WSL season is set to end after discussions between league organizers and the FA board of directors.
Discussions with clubs on how to end the season should also take place, with a system in place to agree to end the standings.
Currently, Manchester City leads the league with 40 points in 16 games, while Chelsea are one point away from playing one game, which means that if points are passed per game, Chelsea will overtake City and win the title.
"The season has been really positive for us," said Kirby. "We will have to see what's going on and what decisions are made, but it's an exciting time to be part of Chelsea."
