Saints catcher Michael Thomas is a certified Twitter shaker, so it’s no surprise he tried to generate as much intrigue on social media as possible on Tuesday after his weekend suspension for hitting a teammate . team.
Thomas posted several cryptic tweets regarding his status, which appeared to attack his own organization while maintaining a possible denial via his abstract wording.
“You are not a snake, but they will make you,” Thomas wrote in a post.
“Think what you want. I’m not trying to clear up rumors,” he wrote in another.

Thomas, with an ankle injury, is said to have faced Saints defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in training, leading him to miss Sunday’s 30-27 victory over the Chargers.
The wide receiver hinted he couldn’t have put on the combination no matter what happened to Gardner-Johnson.
“I was never healthy, I was just trying to help my team win and bounce back during the break,” Thomas wrote in response to a fan. “I had a setback that was so close. And I take my health very seriously. Now I’m a bad guy hahaha.

Thomas has been unstoppable since joining the league in 2016. His 473 receptions for 5,529 yards and 32 touchdowns make him the best statistical receiver in his career.
But like many NFL receivers, he’s also been the center of controversy online (and offline) on several occasions.
New Orleans are probably eager to bring him back to the field, where he can channel his energy into broken defenses.
