Nigerian prodigy Karim Adeyemi on Tuesday broke a Champions League record for Red Bull Salzburg, when he scored in their 3-1 win at Lokomotiv Moscow.
Adeyemi added Salzburg’s third in the 81st minute at RZD Arena, ultimately killing the game after Anton Miranchuk pulled one out for Lokomotiv two minutes earlier after a first-half brace by visitors’ Mergim Berisha.
Finding the net, Adeyemi becomes, at the age of 18 years and 318 days, the youngest player to score in the Champions League for RB Salzburg.
His goal capped a great outing for the Austrian champions who ultimately ended a five-game UCL streak without a win, losing four and drawing a draw during that time.
