
Results of Kobe Bryant's autopsy: blunt trauma for all accident victims

Kobe Bryant, daughter Gianna and seven others were likely killed instantly when a helicopter transporting them to an AAU basketball game crashed on a hill on January 26 in Southern California, according to autopsy results released on Friday by Los Angeles County officials.

The coroner's office cited the accident as the form of death in closing its portion of the investigation, the Times reported. Federal investigators are still investigating what happened.
Toxicology tests found no illegal substances or alcohol in the Zobayan system, the Times also reported. Bryant had Ritalin, a drug to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, in his system.
Bryant's widow Vanessa filed a lawsuit in February against Island Express Helicopters, Island Express Holding Corp. and Zobayan's estate, for the wrongful death of her husband and daughter. He also initiated preliminary lawsuits to prosecute the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, alleging that police had taken unauthorized photos of the scene of the accident.
