The HomePod is promoted for spatial awareness which automatically analyzes acoustics and adjusts sound according to location. In addition, it transmits direct sound, including voices and main instruments, to the center of the room and diffuses ambient sound on the left and right channels for a balanced audio experience. Users can also connect the HomePod to their iOS or iPadOS device to wirelessly play their stored music.

In terms of weight, the HomePod weighs 2.5 kg. It also measures 5.6 inches wide.
