Vivo Y70s could be first smartphone with unannounced Exynos 880 5G chipset: report

The Vivo Y70 may be an upcoming smartphone in the company's Y series, but the best part is that it can be powered by the unannounced SoC Exynos 880. According to a new report, a phone with a vivo V2002A model number has been seen on Geekbench and is expected to be the Vivo Y70s (not the official name). The list also shows that the phone runs on the Exynos 880 SoC, making it the first phone with this chipset to be announced. The Geekbench list also displays other information about the phone.

The geekbench listing, as well as details on the SoC, have been aware by the famous tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo. It shows a Vivo phone with the model number "vivo V2002A" listed with the eight-core Exynos 880 SoC with a base frequency of 1.79 GHz. It also indicates that the phone runs on Android 10. In particular, the list is from Wednesday, May 13 and displays a single-core score of 641 and a multi-core score of 1.814. Gadgets 360 was able to independently verify this list.

Speaking of the details of the Exynos 880 SoC, the informant claims that it is a 5G-compatible SoC with two Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex cores. A55 clocked at 1.79 GHz. The GPU will be the Mali-G76. For the moment, Samsung has not announced this new mobile processor.

According to a report By MyFixGuide, the alleged Vivo Y70s was spotted on China's 3C certification site also under the same model number V2002A, along with two other phones, V2001A and V2005A. While the V2001A and V2005A appeared to have a fast charge of 33 W, the V2002A phone which was to be the Vivo Y70s was seen with support for a slower charge of 18 W.

It should be noted that Vivo has neither made any announcements regarding the Vivo Y70 nor confirmed the name, so this information should be taken with a pinch of salt.
