Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Vietnam Zombies Map with Possible Leaks

Call of Duty: Cold War Black Ops released with a single map for Zombies mode, with more ready to release after launch as free content updates. A new leak suggests that the next chapter in the Zombies saga is heading to Vietnam. According to GamingIntel, a map drawn during the Vietnam War seems very likely.

Ahead of the game’s release, a massive content leak suggested there would be three Zombies maps at launch to go along with the exclusive Zombies Onslaught mode. It was not, but it is believed that the missing maps may end up becoming DLC content updates. One of those maps is called Firebase Z, which is now considered a deserted US fire base located in Vietnam. Proof of this is provided by Youtuber Declan Hillman. He failed on the Fractured Jaw mission and was able to explore the level map without obstacles.

On top of a mountain was the base. He came across many references to the famous Shi No Numa zombie map while looking around. As the current zombie map, Die Maschine, takes references from the original Nacht Der Untoten map, it doesn’t seem like a huge leap of logic to assume that this will also be the basis for a new Zombies map. You can see his exploits in the video below. (Note that Activision may emit deletions for the video, so it may not be available. At the time of writing this article, it is still active and visible.)

Further evidence from the Vietnamese environment comes from a document allegedly leaked by a Twitter user. @MargwaBot. This describes a new dimensional gate in Quảng Trị province in Vietnam. The Russians will be the first to find this door. As a result, they will establish a facility of the KGB-Spetsnaz Omega group near the district capital of Khe Sanh. The cover story is that a US chemical weapon has been detonated in the area, but undescribed experiments will be conducted instead.

When Season 1 begins on December 10, more Zombies Mode content will arrive. However, it’s not believed to be the Firebase Z map, which would arrive with Season 2. Instead, it’s believed to be the third of those maps, a survival map from Nacht Der Untoten. While the game was in its testing phase, this map automatically loaded once Die Maschine was completed. Then it was cut for unknown reasons. Either way, as Season 1 approaches, we can expect official news from developer Treyarch soon.
