Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition gets 10 hour demo that extends into full game


Square Enix has launched a demonstration 10 hours for Dragon Quest XI S – Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition (let’s say five times faster) in PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Better yet, Square Enix says that all of your progress will carry over to the full game if you decide to buy it.

One might be surprised to learn that the the demo of a game can last 10 hours, since some games last up to six. Taking into account that Dragon Quest XI players

can easily accumulate more than 100 hours before you get to the end, it’s a little more understandable.

Square Enix announced the demo during a blog post. You can get the PS4 version here , the Xbox One Demo here, where the steam demo here.

“To be blunt, calling it a demo is like selling it for a lower price,” Square writes. “The download lets you play the entire opening chapters, a massive part of the game that could take you around 10 hours, depending on how you play.”

Square Enix also added that players who complete the demo will receive a “little gift” for players who complete the demo, although they are not revealing what it is.

Dragon Quest XI S is an expanded and improved version of the original JRPG from 2017, with new story content, new orchestral music, new combat speed options, a Japanese dialogue track, and an extensive crafting system, among other additions.

Dragon Quest XI S releases December 4.
